Sani Mountain Escape: Booking required for all visits from 1 December 2025
From 1 December 2025, entry will be by confirmed booking only. This applies to day visitors, group visits, and overnight stays. We will enforce a daily capacity of 40 guests to keep the site safe and services timely. Gate staff will check your booking confirmation voucher on arrival.
Accommodation bookings continue through our Accommodation booking system. Day Visitor bookings will use our new Day Visitor booking system to book their vouchers. Links to both booking systems remains available under the ‘BOOK NOW’ button at the top right of our website.
We understand this changes your visiting experience. Our goal is not to create an exclusive environment, but rather to implement a practical plan that safeguards this special place and enhances your visit.

- Groups of 10 or more: Contact Reservations so we can plan timing, parking, and seating. Please share your group size and preferred arrival time.
After booking, you will receive a booking confirmation – keep it ready for gate checks.
Restaurant & Highest Pub in Africa
- Open to booked visitors only.
- Booking fee redeemable at the Restaurant and The Highest Pub.
- Seating is limited, especially on weekends and public holidays.
- Confirmed day visitor bookings and seating are valid for the entire day (10:00–15:00)

Frequently asked questions
Can I visit the pub or restaurant without a booking?
No. From 1 December 2025, all access requires a confirmed booking.
How far in advance should I book?
Book as early as possible for weekends and holidays. Weekdays usually have better availability. Same-day bookings are not available. No refunds are given for cancellations or no-shows.
What happens in bad weather?
We may adjust time slots or move your visit. If safety is a concern, we may close temporarily. We will contact you if your booking is affected.
What if Sani Mountain Escape close or restrict access?
You can choose a new date or request a full refund.
I am a tour operator bringing a group. What must I do?
Book through Reservations if your group is 10 or more. We will assist with arrival timing, parking, seating, and planning.
Is this a permanent policy?
Yes. Booking-only access is a long-term change.
